About this lecture
The so-called musemen are a unique medieval phenomenon. They are signal tones with which cantors underline certain words in the sung text, a rhetorical performance technique used in Gregorian chants. Leo Lousberg talks about this phenomenon while the Gregoriaans Koor Utrecht demonstrates it under the direction of Anthony Zielhorst.
In collaboration with Gregoriaans Koor Utrecht conducted by Anthony Zielhorst and countertenor Oscar Verhaar
