About this concert
We have François Couperin to thank for some of the most stunning pages found in 18th-century harpsichord literature. Numbering more than 220 solo pieces, his four collections contain much of Couperin’s finest work. We found four keyboard heroes, each of whom was free to browse through his or her favourite volume. Today Aurélien Delage tackles the encyclopedic first volume – the calling card of a musical all-rounder.

About the performer
Aurélien Delage discovered the harpsichord at the age of twelve. He took lessons from Elisabeth Joyé, Laurent Stewart and Hélène d’Yvoire, and continued his studies in Paris, with Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou for harpsichord and continuo and Jan de Winne for Baroque traverso. He was also taught by Pierre Hantaï and Kenneth Weiss, among others, and studied Renaissance and Baroque organ repertoire with Dominique Ferran.
