About this concert

He may not be completely forgotten, but in Giovanni Maria Trabaci is no household name either. Unjustly, since this productive organ virtuoso wrote not only a ton of vocal music but also more than 150 keyboard compositions. With its daring chromaticism and experimental thematic structures, this repertoire points resolutely in the direction of Frescobaldi. Marco Mencoboni selects Trabaci’s boldest works.
