About the performers

Antoinette Lohmann studied violin, viola and baroque violin at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She has always been active in various musical fields, from salon music to Argentine tango, from music theatre to contemporary music and from baroque to folk music. As a freelancer, Antoinette has worked with numerous ensembles and orchestras. Nowadays she is mainly active in the field of the historically informed performance practice on violin and viola and also shows great interest in variants of the violin, such as the viola d'amore, the viola pomposa, the violino piccolo, the tenor viol and the clog violin. She has a preference for obscure works, with a special penchant for Dutch repertoire. She also has a particular interest in folk elements in classical music.

Harpsichordist, composer and conductor Jörn Boysen studied with teachers such as Tini Mathot and Ton Koopman in The Hague. He has performed as a conductor, soloist and continuo player in Germany, France and the Netherlands. He has been a guest at important festivals such as the Festival Mitte Europa, the Göttingen International Handel Festival, the Delft Chamber Music Festival, Itinéraire Baroque and the Utrecht Early Music Festival. Boysen has performed with Alina Ibragimova and Liza Ferschtman and regularly works with Antoinette Lohmann. His completion of Bach's incomplete Markus-Passion in the style of the composer made a big impression on the audience and Bach specialists. Jörn Boysen is a repetitor at the Utrecht Conservatorium and artistic director of Musica Antica, one of the most important stages for early music in the Netherlands.
