About the performers

Artem Belogurov and Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde met in Amsterdam in 2015 and it was not long before they decided to form a duo, encouraged by the similarity of their aesthetic convictions. Together, they performed recitals in such halls as Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ, Tivoli Vredenburg, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Cornell University and early music festivals such as the Utrecht Early Music Fabulous Fringe, AMUZ, Festival Montreal Baroque and many others in Europe and North America. Octavie and Artem both received their Master’s diplomas from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam where they studied with Viola de Hoog, Richard Egarr and Menno van Delft. They seek to create communicative and rhetorical performances. Historical research, stylistic awareness, ornamentation, improvisation and historical instruments fuel their imagination. With this approach, they are equally at home performing music spanning from the late 17th to the 21st century.
