About this concert
Christine Schornsheim dedicates her keyboard recital to the Deventer-born Johann Adam Reincken, whom the young Johann Sebastian Bach idolised. As co-founder of the opera in Hamburg, organist, music theorist and composer, he forms a crucial link in the history of German Baroque. Schornsheim juxtaposes Reincken’s Toccata in G minor with artistic keyboard arrangements of his sonata suites by Bach.
