About this concert

To convince is to seduce, as Frescobaldi understood only too well. Harpsichordist Francesco Cera – a former pupil of Gustav Leonhardt – is an authority on Frescobaldi's endlessly inventive and poetic compositions. For this recital he selects the most beautiful pieces from the first two collections of toccatas: musical speech born from the keys themselves.
