About this concert

Eighteenth-century music for solo wind instruments is hard to find. Peerless flautist Rachel Brown skims off the finest cream of this exquisite repertoire for her solo traverso recital. Works by father Johann Sebastian and son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach flank highlights from the catalogues of Baroque monument Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Joachim Quantz, the embodiment of ‘empfindsame’ flute music.
