About this concert
Enough of his brilliant verses have survived to make our mouths water, but the music of the legendary minnesinger Walther von der Vogelweide has largely been lost. With a voice that effortlessly pierces the decks of time, mezzo-soprano Sabine Lutzenberger explores the shreds that remain of Walther's songs and dares to create reconstructions inspired by the work of his contemporaries.

About the performers
Ensemble Per-Sonat, founded in 2008 by the mezzo-soprano Sabine Lutzenburger, specialises in the Middle Ages and Early Renaissance. The size of the ensemble varies between two and eight musicians, depending on the project concerned. In its programmes Per-Sonat focuses, on the one hand, on a scientifically supported interpretation and, on the other, on an exciting and vigourous presentation of medieval texts using historical performance techniques and improvisation.
