About this concert
Stile Antico is one of those collectives that lives up to its jubilant critiques for every concert. In search of a lost era, the English excellencies delve into Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's Missa L'homme armé. In this 1570 work, the star of Roman polyphony looks back to the era of Josquin. The mass movements alternate with motets on the sensuous lyricism of the Song of Songs.
