About this concert
Was Johann Jacob Froberger the inventor of the keyboard suite? That may be a little simplistic. But his partitas, written in mid-seventeenth-century Germany, would inspire many generations of composers. Harpsichordist Ignacio Prego traces with brio and elegance the line from Froberger via Purcell to Bach, and from the mainland to the fairest isle and back.
