About the performers
Vocal ensemble Contre le Temps specialises in medieval music. Its members met while studying at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Contre le Temps performs a variety of musical genres from the 11th to the 16th century, combining their individual and collective musical sensitivity with historically informed knowledge from the sources of the time. Taking its name from two historical vocal works, Contre le Temps refers to the ensemble's desire to perform this eternal music in an original and timeless way.
