About the performers

sféra focuses on recorder repertoire from the 15th and 16th centuries. The various secular and religious occasions at which this music has sounded in the past gave the ensemble the idea of presenting their programmes in bars, cafes, churches, trains and nature. In 2020, sféra won first prize at the 3rd International Recorder Festival in Tel Aviv. In 2021, the ensemble received support from the i-Portunus programme and the Telemanngesellschaft Magdeburg, where sféra was one of four selected ensembles from the Outreach.lab.
