About the performers

ensemble feuervogel was founded in 2017 at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from medieval to contemporary music. ensemble feuervogel is particularly stimulated by the encounter between different sound worlds, such as historical melodies combined with improvisation or the collaboration with contemporary composers. This creates enriching perspectives on all genres. In 2019, the ensemble performed at York Early Music Festival's International Young Artists Competition. In the same year, they won the Förderpreis Alte Musik Saar.
