About the performers
The members of Babil met while studying at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Because of their formation, which combines singing with plucked and bowed stringed instruments, the ensemble can explore a wide repertoire, from early medieval lyrical song to Renaissance polyphony, emphasising the poetic aspect of the music and creating an evocative sound-scape.
