About the performers

Régence Sonore is a young ensemble of Polish musicians, each internationally active and trained in the best early music institutes in Europe. The ensemble's name is reminiscent of the French Regency period, which included the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV, and symbolises the historical synthesis of the early with the late Baroque and gallant style. Thus, Régence Sonore constantly seeks the balance between historically informed practice and research on the one hand and virtuosity and taste on the other, in order to achieve the same artistic effect with their audiences as their predecessors did.
