About this concert
The Spanish territories in South America honoured numerous traditions from the motherland. For example, chapels were installed to provide cathedrals and churches with high-quality music. At the head was a kapellmeister, who not only conducted performances but also provided the necessary music. Opera Omnia gives you a taste of the portfolios of 17th-century maestros at the cathedrals of Puebla, Mexico, La Plata and Quito.

About the performers
Dusting off Spanish musical heritage en make it shine again, that is the aim of Opera Omnia. This early music ensemble, directed by violinst Isaac M. Pulet, revives Spanish Baroque music. The group employs original instruments and the most appropriate interpretative techniques for each repertoire. Opera Omnia has been recognised by a variety of early music associations for their musical heritage recovery projects. Among others the GEMA (Association of Spanish Early Music Groups), who awarded them as the best 18th-century music ensemble in 2022.
