About the performers
Duo Yamane was formed in 2016 at Tokyo University of the Arts and is renowned for its profound knowledge of musical rhetoric and basso continuo, especially in Baroque vocal music. Their repertoire includes cello with harpsichord and fortepiano; in 2018, they recorded Schumann’s Fantasiestücke. Performances followed in Belgium and France. Now based in Europe, they explore the nineteenth century repertoire on historical instruments.
