About the performers
The Japanese duo Flânerie consists of violinist Saaya Ikenoya and fortepiano player Mako Kodama. Ikenoya moved to Spain at a young age, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in classical violin. She completed a master's degree in London, after which she focused on historical performance practice and obtained two degrees in that field as well. Kodama began studying piano in Japan. In 2020, she began to focus specifically on older repertoire, and she is now studying fortepiano at the Conservatoire in The Hague.
