About the performers

Duo Mair Koelmans brings together soprano Veronika Mair and fortepiano player Maurits Koelmans in historically informed performances. Mair studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and sings repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary in Europe with ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent and Les Ornaments. Koelmans, trained at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, specialises in fortepiano and historical improvisation. Together they explore expressive, authentic interpretations of early and classical repertoire.
