About this concert

The Low Countries reigned supreme on Renaissance posters. A prominent Franco-Flemish polyphonist, Nicolas Gombert colored the sixteenth-century soundscape with his motets. Cappella Amsterdam, a vocal group with polyphony in its DNA, is expert in transporting the emotion and craftsmanship of Gombert’s creations to the stage. Under the direction of Daniel Reuss the ensemble digs up the most beautiful vocal pearls from the oeuvre of this renowned composer.
