"I never expected to enjoy a harpsichord recital so much, until I heard Marie van Rhijn play at the Festival Oude MuziekUtrecht 2021. She gave a very nice concert with very animated and narrative music. She really brought Marin Marais’ Opera Alcide to life on the harpsichord."

"I experienced my first Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht behind the scenes in 2018. Much of the repertoire was still a mystery to me. Attending this concert by Diabolus in music, I was struck by the beautiful music, the serenity, the concentration in the hall... This was the moment I discovered the magic of renaissance polyphony for the first time. When we launched EMTV and I found out that this concert had been recorded at the time, I was elated. A special concert memory, which I can now relive again and again."

"I count English lute songs among the most moving music, sometimes with a somewhat sad slant that expresses how hard life could be in the sixteenth century. Beauty with a bitter edge, which makes it all the more touching. Beautifully performed here by soprano Stefanie True and lutenist Shizuko Noiri."

"I have to admit: Johann Sebastian Bach is not among my favorite composers. That is why I chose not to attend this concert by Le Caravansérail during the Festival Oude MuziekUtrecht 2022. When putting together the trailers for Early Music Television after the festival, I listened to it for the first time and immediately regretted not attending! Fantastic musicianship, a varied program and beautiful interaction between the musicians and Bertrand Cuiller make for a beautiful recording that I've enjoying listening to several times since.”

"In the spring of 2021, a beautiful series of recordings was made at the Kerk van de Evangelische Broedergemeente in Zeist. While all regular programmering had to be cancelledduring this unpleasant covid period, a large number of musicians was able to perform their music for Early Music Television. My favorite concert from this series is Stylusphantasticus by Castello Consort- my first introduction tothe ensemble, and I was sold immediately. What fantasticmusic, how wonderfully played!"

"Early music is not confined to dusty archives. To me, it is vibrant, alive, and brings joy! L’Arpeggiata’s concert The Golden Tower, recorded at the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024, is a perfect example of this: a vibrant exploration of the (often-forgotten) beauty of Latin American musical heritage that bursts with allegria."
