About this concert
Is the cello really the instrument that comes closest to the human voice? Pulcinella puts it to the test! In lamentations by Fiocco and Van Helmont, the voice seeks solace. The caprices of Dall’Abaco give voice to the strings – free, virtuosic, and unconstrained. The thriving formation led by Ophélie Gaillard, with soprano Sandrine Piau, builds bridges between introspection and expression, focus and connection, in a single breath.

About the performers
The French ensemble Pulcinella is a group of virtuosic soloists and ensemble players with a passion for historical instruments. The orchestra is led by cellist Ophélie Gaillard and regularly collaborates with talented young musicians. Pulcinella is particularly committed to the area where it operates (Île-de-France in the Paris region) and more specifically Seine-Saint-Denis. Its aim is to enable as many people as possible to discover Baroque and Classical music.
