MA Festival is a ten days long event, featuring strong artistical standpoints in Early Music and taking place in unique locations in and around Bruges.
MA Festival Bruges aims to bring innovation to the world of Early Music. In a dialogue between today’s artists and today’s audience, the festival combines tradition with a contemporary vision and presentation.
What began in 1963 as a small festival with three organ concerts has grown into one of the most important Early Music festivals in the world. In addition to classical concerts, we also organize the MA Competition — an international competition for young musicians —, VéloBaroque — a musical cycling tour through the Bruges countryside — workshops and masterclasses for young artists, performances for children, free café concerts and much more.
